Once a fan girl, always a fangirl

Fandoms.

I've been part of a lot of fandoms ever since I was 2. No kidding. I've loved Backstreet Boys, Westlife, Spice Girls (I've always wanted to be Baby Spice, Emma Bunton!), A1, Blue, Whitney Houston and Celine Dion since the time I could remember. I'm still fans of these artists and as I grew older, my fandoms increased. avril Lavigne, F4, Fahrenheit, SHE, SUPER JUNIOR and a lot more. Recently I got the One Direction and Chocolat bug.

 I memorized their songs, sang out of tune and created storms with their songs and even gladly performed them onstage. I bought their merchandise, CDs (My extensive SJ CD collection...will be added on April. MWAHAHAHAH :>), Casette Tapes (Kids, if you don't know what these are..... it's either you're born in the 00's or you've lived under a rock. '93 liner here!) and fan made things :) Believe it or not, my Nokia 3310 cellphone case when I was in 3rd grade was F4.

My fandoms have pushed me to do things I never imagine I would do.

1. Learn Chinese more than what my school provides. Not to be bragging but imagine a girl who looks not a bit Chinese would speak to you in Mandarin or Hokkien. I always get the wide eye stare whenever I speak to native speakers in a language they would never think I would understand because of how I look. EVERY SINGLE YEAR. Hi Lao Shi :) I used to really suck at Mandarin. Ask my 7th grade lao shi. I REALLY SUCKED. Now whenever we see each other, she forgets that I could speak Mandarin well now. All because of Taiwanese Dramas and Mando-pop. (Yes, SJM is MANDOPOP...even though most of them are Korean. STILL)

2. Making so many friends in the Philippines and around the world. :) Special mention to Super Legacy, Blessing, Affxion, SJUPH, heechul-petals, blackjacks!

3. Stalking. Ohohohoho. Refer to this lovely post.  FTR, I've never "stalked" anyone until Siwon Choi of super Junior came here to the Philippines with his co-members Kyuhyun Cho and Eunhyuk Lee. (Yes, I wanna write their names that way. Got any problem?)

4. Going to concerts and experiencing trouble.
- F2 the Event. When Vanness Wu and Ken Zhu of F4 and The ASOS consisting of the ever famous 流星花园 Shan Cai, Barbie and her sister Dee Hsu came to Manila, the 10 year old me celebrated her birthday with a ticket to the concert with her family instead of holding a party.
- SS3 Manila <3 Tomorrow's the 1st Anniversary since the WONDERFUL concert happened last year :)
- AVRIL LAVIGNE THE BLACK STAR TOUR LAST FEB 16! WOOOOOOH.

5. Learning to use Google Translate and learning how to use it properly. Tip: Knowing Chinese words will help you in translating Korean.

6. GET CRAZY and GETTING CRAZY WITHOUT PEOPLE THINKING YOU'RE CRAZY.
Exhibit A : Super Show 3. NO KIDDING. Everyone's going crazy with you.
Exhibit B : Avril Lavigne concert. You can bang your head and no one would judge you cause they're doing the same. Heck, it's a rock concert.

7. Learning new languages and cultures. Not only did I re-learn Chinese culture and learning new languages like Korean, I also learned a lot about France and Italy because of the huge fan bases there! I re-learned my Japanese and boy, do I miss Anime and Doramas.

8. THE WANT TO TRAVEL TO OTHER COUNTRIES....

9. .....and appreciate my own.

10. Posting videos on Youtube.......especially with myself on it.

11. Going for an ambush interview on national TV. Well, they pulled me out of my line. Cant blame them. Watch my shame here.

12. Lose weight because of dancing. Really. Special thanks to Super Junior's Bonamana :D

13. Purchasing their hit songs even after a few years it became a hit. (Applicable to F4, A1, Blue) Well,  I was a kid who only had about USD$0.50  for a day when converted. *Goodbye money, goodbye*

14. Memorizing the music video's choreography and buying the clothes that has that vibe.

and a whole lot more. I'm too lazy and scared to post things I did there. I didn't do anything illegal though. HEHEHE.
